Curriculum information

I was born in Rethimno Crete in 1974.

I graduated from high school in the town of Trikala in 1991 and took the university entering exams that take place in a state level once a year.

I succeeded in my entering the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Department of Mathematics being one of the best 12 candidates accepted on their first attempt. For this reason I was granted a scholarship from the Foundation of State Scholarships.

I successfully graduated from the University on June 1996 and on October of the same year I went to England for postgraduate studies (M.Sc.) in Computer Science at the University of Essex. On September 1997 I came back to Greece having successfully completed my postgraduate studies.

On November of the same year I started my service in the Greek Army and in April 1998 I became an οfficer specialised in a modern anti-tank guided missile weapon. I also served for five months in a recreation center for officers being an accountant of four buffets. Furthermore, during my service I was an Information Technology seminars teacher in the "I.A.B.E." Professional Education Center. I completed my service in the Army on October 1999 with the rank of Second Lieutenant.

Immediately after that I was appointed computer science teacher in a public Highschool of Technical Education in Thessaloniki. I served there for a full school year.

At the same time I was working as part time Information Technology teacher at the Professional Education School of Epanomi (Thessaloniki) and I continued being an Information Technology seminars teacher at the "I.A.B.E." Professional Education Center in Thessaloniki.

From September 2000 to December 2003 I was employed by Gnomon Informatics S.A., member of the Euroconsultants group of companies in Thessaloniki, that is a member of the Athens Stock Exchange Market. My job was to support ERP Systems (SAP R/3 and Epicor Platinum SQL) and to design and develop database applications.

After going through a selection process, which included examinations and two indervews, on January 7 of 2004 I became an emploee of the Management Organisation Unit of Development Programmes (MOU S.A.) and was detached to the Intermediate Managing Authority of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace Region in Komotini. My tasks include support of the Management Information System, that is operated by M.O.U., as well as Information Technology administration of the Authority.

In the meantime, on October 2004 I started working as part time Information Technology teacher at first at the Professional Education School of Manpower Employment Organization and later at the Professional Education School of the Vocational Education and Training Organization in Komotini.

On October 2005 I began my studies at the Hellenic Open University, which led to a successful graduation, on July 2011, receiving the B.Sc. degree in Information Technology.
